The journey from conceiving a baby until the birth of the new little bundle of joy is the most wonderful practice in the new Mom’s life. The extraordinary feelings of having conceived a baby is wonderful. The kicks and the punches from within is the biggest pleasure for the mum-to-be.
Throughout the nine months period of pregnancy, expectant is thinking about the birth and post birth responsibilities. The planning includes decorating the nursery or starting a scrapbook, deciding on the baby's name and collecting baby toys. Each planning stage brings the new parents much closer to the most exciting moments of seeing and holding their new baby.
The arrival of this little angel brings many psychological changes. Now, other siblings become more sensitive and caring. They try to help in many other ways, like being a personal assistant to mum and dad, run all over the house getting the stuff mum or dad needs for the baby.
Kids, especially little girls love to fold baby clothes, answer the phone, or get their dear, sweet mothers a drink from the kitchen. That is so helpful, especially if she feels tired. And if the baby is cranky, then they don't mind working magic by smiling at the baby and trying to cheer him/her up.
Babies are wonderful gifts from God to cherish us. They give a sense of confidence, completeness and responsibility to parents. It is a lot of fun to have a new baby, but it can be tiring too. They dribble, spit, make lots of dirty diapers and wake up in the mid of night. Babies don't need a lot of things to be comfortable, healthy and happy. What they need the most is lots of attention, time, patience and love.
It sometime happens that other kids are ignored with the arrival of a new member. Parents should take care of the feelings of their other children too. It's really a big change for an only child to become a big brother or sister. As parents, you should help your child understand the joy of being an elder sibling, help your child to ease some of his stress.
