Baby Shower is the most prestigious and wonderful way to welcome a newborn. Baby shower is a pre baby arrival gathering that has become more popular in the past 15 years.
Traditionally, only non-relatives are to host a baby shower. But with the passage of time, it has become more common and acceptable for mothers and sisters to host showers too.
Baby shower is a traditional ceremony which is arranged during pregnancy to receive gifts. Showers are normally given before the baby is born, generally a month or two before the mum's due date. It's a good idea to give the mum enough time following the shower to shop for items she didn't receive, yet wants to have before the baby arrives.
More than one person can also host shower. It is a great fun that a group of friends plan and arrange this very special event.
The list of the guests to be invited to shower should be finalised by the mum-to-be to make sure that no one is left out. It is now getting more common to send out formal invitations or printed invitation cards to all friends and relatives, so that the guests can prepare their gifts.
